How To Disable 'Use the Web service to find the correct program' Dialogue box in Vista.

When opening a file with an unknown extension, Windows Vista will first ask you if you want to Use the Web service to find the correct program or Select a program from a list of installed programs.

In most cases you may be aware of the program you'd like to use to open the file; as as such this extra dialog box can be pretty annoying !
To skip this box, type regedit in the Start Menu box and hit enter to open the Registry Editor. Now navigate to the following key :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

If this key does not exist, create it by rt-clicking on an existing key and the selecting New > Key.
Next, rt click on the RHS, to create a new 32-bit DWORD value. Name it as NoInternetOpenWith and give it a Value of 1.

Exit Regedit. Reboot.

Should you wish to reverse the changes, simply re-set the value to 0.
