Cannot open Display Settings in Windows 7 or Vista.
If you are unable to open the Dispay Settings box and you encounter instead a message
Your system administrator has disabled launching of the Display Settings Control Panel
You may try this:
Type
gpedit.msc
in start menu search bar and hit Enter to open the Group Policy Object Editor.
Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Template > Control Panel > Display
Next, in the RHS pane, double-click
Remove Display in Control Panel
and change the setting to
Not configured.
Reboot.
However, if you are
not
running Ultimate or Business editions, you may instead try this.
Open regedit and navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
In RHS pane, delete
NoDispCPL
value, if it is present.
Reboot.
Hope one of these helps!
