| Organizations like virus.gr, virusbtn, pcworld, toptenreviews, cnet , all have their own methods of testing and rankings of various anti-virus programs. Most of their rankings differ widely, if you have a look at them. Based on these very reports and my personal experience with almost all these Security Softwares, here are what I consider as the Top 10 Anti Virus rankings. Threat detection and removal capabilities; and minimal resource utilization, is what weighed on my mind, while making the conclusions. Do remember that the list may thus be considered a little subjective. Some like AOL, ZA, etc have not been considered as they basically use Anti-Virus definitions or AntiVirus Engines of other Anti-Virus's. |

Most of their rankings differ widely, if you have a look at them. Based on these very reports and my personal experience with almost all these Anti Spyware's, here are what I consider as the Top 10 Anti Spyware Programs. Windows Defender has been excluded from the rankings, as it is bundled along with Windows Vista OS. Again, do remember that the list may thus be considered a little subjective. |
