Visually Customize Windows Live Messenger 9 with A-Patch.

A-Patch is a nifty utility which you can use to customize the visual appearance of your Windows Live Messenger.

There are tons of options available in this small install-free freeware, some of which are:

Allow multiple instances of Messenger
Remove Advertisement
Remove Search Bar
Remove Windows Live Logo
Remove "Messenger" Title
Customize the top of the Contact List
Customize the Main Toolbar
Remove Contact Manager Bar
Remove Contacts' Personal Message
Remove Gleam Notification
Remove Emoticons from Contact Nicknames
Remove Yellow Information Bar

A version for WLM 9 has also just been released. This version currently has only limited options:
